Le Petit:  Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow

The 2013 Esther Awards/Diamond Anniversary Galawas held on Sunday, June 2, at the Houma Municipal Auditorium. Doors opened at 11:30 for ascrumptious brunch menu with complimentary Mimosas and Bloody Marys.  Guests enjoyed their meal while listening to a talented ensemble from the Nicholls State University Music Department, viewing a power point presentation of actors/actresses from yesteryear to the present and browsing through a sizable number of silent auction items.

The presentation ceremony began at 2:00 with a brief history of Le Petit followed by the awards presentation.  Between each award, attendees were entertained by a host of individuals who have graced the stage of Le Petit over the years.   Songs and comedy skits from previous and future Le Petit productions were performed by Ellis Larose (singing the title song from Le Petit’s first musical), Sue Peace, Ron Hornsby, Edwina Yakupzack, Kami Ellender,  Jeanne Scott, Raymond Saadi and a host of others yet to be confirmed.
